Pacific NW room – ages 4 through half day kindergarten

Pacific Northwest Room

Beginners (Children ages 4 to 1/2 day kindergarten)

In our Beginners Room, children ages 4 to half day kindergarten are challenged to reach new heights  in creative and hands on learning advenures.  Our beautiful room is licensed for 20 children with 2 teachers.

Our goal is to help them successfully transition from the preschool learning environment to the world of elementary school.  By offering a variety of activities and opportunities for learning through play, the Beginner class builds on the love of learning established in previous classrooms.

Beginners conduct science experiments every week or two. Some of the experiments include mixing a penny and vinegar, exploding volcanos, sugar cube igloos,  and exciting egg experiments. One of the teachers’ favorites is mixing clear gelatin and then mixing in food coloring to see what happens when you mix red and yellow. Children will use math to predict and estimate the results, graphing their predictions, counting how many days the experiment takes and much more!
